53 days to Bo! 53 days until puck drop in Vancouver on October 7th against the Oilers. That got me wondering today... Let's predict our TOP 10 leading scorers for this years roster! Or you can predict point totals for the whole team! Go!

Edit: Let's add each players goals, assists and point total!

Bo put an end to an era of absolute dominance by the Swedes in the glorious city of Vancouver last year... if I'm not mistaking, since 1998-1999 season a Swedish born phenom led the worlds greatest sports entertainment franchise in scoring. Naslund, Hank, Danny back to back... before Naslund it was Bure with 90 points.

That being said, it was with a miserable 52 points that Bo beat Hanks 51 with.

Here's to hoping either Hank or Danny regain #1 with 65+ points each for a few years and then Elias leads with 100+ points 10 years in a row.

Here's my guess for top 5... quite ambitious, yes.

Lord Daniel - 72

King Henrik - 67

Loui Eriksson - 65

Bo Horvat - 53

Anton Rodin - 51

I like your optimism but no chance either Sedin finishes with that many points. I wish they could... I just don't see it happening.

I'm seeing that a lot of people here don't see Eriksson having much of a comeback season. What was it? 24 points last season? I think he will get some better ice time this year. Hopefully get some chemistry with Bo and maybe get back to being a 20 goal scorer.

Man oh man... if Loui hits 35... sure it's 11 more than last year, but you seriously have to contemplate a buy out at some point?

I just went to the calculator and wow there's really no savings... I think it's because he got so much of it in signing bonuses... we're doomed. Loui better put up 50+ .... he is capable.

SEASON SALARY INITIAL CAP HIT ACTUAL COST SAVINGS BUYOUT CAP HIT
2018-19 $1,000,000 $6,000,000 $500,000 $500,000 $5,500,000
2019-20 $1,000,000 $6,000,000 $500,000 $500,000 $5,500,000
2020-21 $1,000,000 $6,000,000 $500,000 $500,000 $5,500,000
2021-22 $3,000,000 $6,000,000 $500,000 $2,500,000 $3,500,000
2022-23 $0 $0 $500,000 -$500,000 $500,000
2023-24 $0 $0 $500,000 -$500,000 $500,000
2024-25 $0 $0 $500,000 -$500,000 $500,000
2025-26 $0 $0 $500,000 -$500,000 $500,000

Or maybe Aquaman could gift someone in Loui's family 15 million in Condo's and have him retire? It's 9 mill less than he'll actually make but he'll get it right away and it'll probably be worth 30 million by contracts end?

Yea... it's what I hope happens... it is quite optimistic, but with a solid winger, it could be possible. Assuming Loui contributes to their line

Man that was an awesome season by Bo I wish I could see you to say that to his face would be amazing to witness. I hope the Beans have a great year and sure even beat Bo by a long shot get 75 to 80 points but why the Bo stab there man? You're gonna have my Finish co worker rolling around laughing at this load of BS. Dont forget behind each great Sedish player on the canucks are some good ol North American boys doing the hard work. Taking broken ribs to watch the ______(insert name here)  pass the puck back and forth.

Best part is you got the Ghost of hockey's past/ 6 Billion dollar man getting 3rd over Bo even. Made my day.

Not miserable by Bo... I love Bo and have him scoring more points than last year which was a contract year.

Miserable that our leading scorer for our team had 52 points. When was the last time we had someone lead the team in points with 52? I looked back 25 years and couldn't find one.

52 points for your leading scorer is terrible.

Yeah last year was strange. When we signed Eriksson I was so excited to finally see him play with the twins. Every time they played together in worlds or Olympics they were awesome together. What happened? They were absolutely awful together in the blue and green. I can't see them turning it around so what winger is going to get the Sedins back to 60+ point getters? Answer is nobody. Not on our roster.

The team is better off putting Eriksson with Bo on the top line or with Sutter and Gagner. Split up the offensive skill and have an all around team that puts up numbers without a stand out point producer. I could definitely see Horvat, the twins, Eriksson, Gagner around 50+ with other guys like Baertschi, Granlund & Boeser pushing 40+

Willie D happened. And they weren't 'absolutely awful' together, if you check the stats Loui was their best partner. WD gave them 4 games to start the season before turning on the line blender, it was ridiculous. The entire team struggled with that system last year, its actually amazing how well Bo did.

Yeah I agree. WD was definitely not the best fit as coach last year. I was surprised he lasted as long as he did. Are you saying that without him Eriksson and the twins will flourish this year? I'm eager to see what Travis Green can do but I'm a little worried we went with an unproven coach @ an NHL level.

Personally I think the Sedins are going to bounce back and come in top shape as usual.  It's possibly their last season, and a contract year, both will be big motivators.

First Line

1. H. Sedin 13 goals 50 assists 63 pts

2. D. Sedin 24 goals  35 assists 59 pts

3a .Goldobin 12 goals 13 assure 25 pts

3b. L.E.  26 goals 24 assists 50 pts.

Second Line

1. B. Horvat 25 goals 32  assists 57 pts.

2. S. Bearstchi 21 goals 18 assists 39 pts.

3. Boeser 29 goals 18 assists 47 pts.

Third Line

1.B. Sutter  18 goals 17 assists 35 pts.

2. Gagne 18 goals  23 assists 41 pts.

3a. L.E. ( see above)

3b. Burm 15 goals 18 assists 33 pts.

3c. Rodin 12 goals 15 assists 27 pts.

Fourth Line and other notables

0. Granlund.  Is up and down the top 9 ends up with 24 goals and  30 assists. 54 points

1. Boucher 10 goals 9 assists 19 pts.

2. Virtanen 9 goals 13 assists 24 pts

3. Gaunce 4 goals 6 assists 10 pts.

4. Dahlen 3 goals  7 assists ( in late season call up, 8 games played)

Defense

1. Stetcher   11 goals 20 assists 31 pts.

2. Del Zotto 4 goals 26 assists 30 pts.

3. Hutton 5 goals 24 assists 29 pts.

4. Edler 9 goals 19  assists 28 pts.

5. Tanev 4 goals 18 assists 22 pts ( then scores 2 more in a late season trade to TO for Kapenan and their first rounder in 2018 and a conditional second in 2019 if they make it to the conference finals).

Book it.
