Vanek leads the NHL in points for players who play an average of 15 min a game or less. funner fact. Thomas Vanek was +47 in his second year in the league. he has worked that down to +4 career he should be back to 0 before the end of February

Fun to watch him and his old school style. But he is a wreck defensively. A playoff team with a poor PP will probably bid for his services at the deadline. From his third year up until last year, his average +/- was -1.23 per year. Almost even. And that's over 10 seasons. And remember, +/- doesn't account for PP goals. The Canucks literally have only 2 players with positive +/-. Horvat and Tanev.

Vanek and Goldy keep missing the back check through the middle, and get inside position in our zone, pre game pep talks. Lol.

The_Rocket
Vanek scored his 20th goal of the season tonight in Boston. Panarin is the only blue jacket with more goals than him this season
Rob_Zepp
He has four points and counting tonight including a hat trick.
spliced
Hard to figure why Vanek wasn't more sought after at the trade deadline, I know he's been weak in the playoffs but even just as a guy to help you get in he seemed like a good pick up. NHL pro scouting looking weak on this one.

He's helping them make the post-season. Benning realistically couldn't have gotten more for him given his bad rep (poor showing on his last team). That's how Benning was able to sign him for such a cheap contract in the first place (not alot of interest in the league last off-season).

Rob_Zepp
Anyone watching the Capitals and Jackets game this morning? Apparently Vanek didn’t get the memo about him not showing up for the playoffs. Beast mode so far this game.

combover
I wasn’t a vanek fan when he signed but I was by the time he was traded. That said I hope he gets a contract just not with Vancouver.
