Ondrej Palat: 4 years, $ 20.8 million dollar contract ( $ 5,200,000.00 per season ). We are excited to re-sign Palat to a long-term deal. Palat and his representation made it clear that there was concern that we were crowded in the forward ranks and would test free agency if things stayed status quo. This is why we were so motivated to move some of the other forwards, to show to Palat that we wouldn't want him to leave the only organization he ever played for. Many years ago, we signed him as a free agent prospect and patiently waited for him. It's paid off and we are grateful that he committed to us again. He will remain on our first line and help to mentor our prospects joining the team as we still chase that first CDCGML championship.

Thats how its done, and that`s how you treat your players. Well done.

Monty
With a truckload money at my disposal, the Knights will be a spender in free agency. There are players available to spend money on, and we will be taking a serious run to round out our roster. To teams that need to move players, either due to cap space or role in the organization, Vegas is open. The 9th overall pick would only be moved for a legitimate player who’s just entering their prime or is a legitimate prospect of note. Front Office Budget to be posted shortly. aGENT
I'll save C2X et al the work until after further trade is posted and free agency as we have nothing but cap space and expect to spend some money to round out and mentor our increasingly young roster. Like VGK, we're also happy to take on short term cap to assist any teams under a cap crunch.

Just request to you? (Probably could have taken advantage of that this past year... ) As per the CBA: Quote 7.5 – Player Development The amount of money invested here determines if a club is eligible to utilize the entry level slide rule, and if so, for how many years. Under the ELC slide provision, a player on an entry level contract can have their contract slide to the following year provided: - the team had the appropriate investment in their Player Development budget at the time the player signed their contract; and - the player signed their ELC contract prior to their 21st birthday; and - the player participated in fewer than 10 NHL games during the course of the first season of their contract. As long as these conditions are met, the ELC slide would take place automatically. Players who are eligible to have their contract slide, but then are traded to a team without the appropriate spending in the Player Development Budget are no longer eligible to have their contract slide. Sorry, a little confused. You note that it would happen automatically. My budget for slides is $8M, which allows 2 players to slide. However, I have several players I signed to ELCs prior to their 21st birthday: - Evan Fitzpatrick - Adin Hill - Josh Mahura - Keegan Kolesar If the slide is automatically done, and one has 4 players eligible, does one indicate which of the two we’d like? The amount invested is for how many years you can have the contract slide, one or two. Not how many players. You could have 12 players slide eligible and all would slide if they met the requirements. I don't show you having any Player Development spending though...

canuck2xtreme
Ahhh there we go. I'm looking at old numbers I haven't done any updates yet. Keep in mind the investment must be in place before the players are signed to their ELC to qualify for the slide rule. So the players you listed above won't be slide eligible but ELC contracts signed after the budget change will be.
