D-Money
Clearance Sale! The Los Angeles Kings have had a lot of nice surprises this year with our forward and goaltending prospects, and have made some deals to strengthen the defense as well. As such, we have a few players/prospects that may not have the same fit in the organization as before. The following prospects are each available for a late round pick: Dmitri Zhukenov - The Russian center is at a point-per-game in his rookie season in the MHL, and even had some time in the KHL in a depth role. Looks like he may still be a player, but is probably a couple more years away. Wouter Peeters - One of Chicago's top goaltending prospects. Given their uncertainty with Crawford's health, and the disappointing season for Forsberg, there is a clear path for Peeters to help one day...but probably not for a couple more years. The following prospects are available either for either a pick trade-up, or in a 2/3-for-1 pick deal: Spencer Smallman, Ethan Prow, Simon Bourque, Tate Olson, Jonne Tammela, Karch Bachman

Patrik Virta: 2 year contract, worth $1.85M ($925k AAV). Jeff Glass: 1 year contract, worth $1.75M. @D-Money @Nail 1 hour ago, D-Money said: Kings are very happy to add Glass to the fold. When it was announced that Crawford would miss the remainder of season, we worked the phones, but couldn't find a deal that made sense. Either the price was extreme, or the contract was a potential issue if Corey ended up coming back before the end of the season. Then we realized that Glass was still available, and it seemed like a perfect fit. To make room for him, Kings send down Korpisalo. @Nail Virta and Olund are 2 solid forward prospects that we're happy to add to the fold. After promoting and dealing a number of forward prospects (3 sent out in just the Colin Miller trade), we felt the need to shore up there, with guys who were ready to push for a spot within the next couple of years. Linus Olund is a draft pick of the Wild http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=146700

Top 10 age of 20 & under in the SHL last year and this. We picked him in GML & Puck as well... His name was also misspelled in lots of draft profiles at the time. Think something to do with the double : above the O which pronounces the same as Ohlund in the Swedish spelling of his name?
Monty
Carolina Hurricanes Been a rough month for the Hurricanes. Continue to drop in the standings, while other teams leapfrog us with relative ease. An injury to Scheifele, along with an incredibly long cold streak to Nazem Kadri, has made a disappointing 2 months. However, this was not a team that was built to win the President’s Trophy for a second straight season, but one that was built to get passed the 1st round for a change. We hope that the IRL Carolina Hurricanes continue their play as of late and make a surge for the last playoff spot, as investments in Williams, Kruger, and team favourite Derek Ryan would help our playoff hopes immensely. As for trades, we’ve had irons in the fire with 2 teams for the last 2 months. Should one come to fruition, then our lineup would be set. However, nothing is certain at this point. While forward Patrick Marleau and defenseman Ron Hainsey remain available, I have no problem keeping them throughout the playoffs and look for possible extensions leading up to them. Should note that I’m not looking for replacement roster players for either Hainsey or Marleau. So all offers are welcome.

Primal Optimist
We would like to terminate Emerson Etem's contract as he has finally signed with Swiss League Hockey CLub LUgano, over in Europe. Poor chap wanted out of the desert so bad he rushed over to oblivion. ....we wish him well of course and if your gettin the feeling you would make more in the long run earning less than a million a year over seas versus putting in your time in the minors go for it...you only live once. No hard feeling Em.

Monty
I suppose I should jump on minor SS things as well. Andreas Johnson should actually be “Johnsson”. Thanks @Nail
Primal Optimist
Earlier today news out of Vancouver was that PHil Di Guiseppe and Jori Lehtera were both considered "on the block" by top brass, but more importantly Vancouver is looking to deal to bring in two offensive threats to round out the lineup for a playoff push. It is no secret that Jori Lehtera is disappointed with his season thus far and The Canucks are rumoured to be in a "win now" mood regarding young Phil Di Giusseppe, making him expendable this year. Teams that are selling mid level forwards should get in touch with us, and those with cap space should call now!

Canuck Surfer
I should pay attention to some minor league detail sometimes? Minny prospect Kale Clague traded to offensive powerhouse Moose Jaw in the WHL. Might spoil a tease visit in the NHL at the end of this year? But the Warriors will be filthy! Especially on D with Brook, Clague & Jett Woo. Brett Howden whom I respect & Almeida up front. I wonder how deep they will go? A good run would be great!
