Las Vegas - Active Shooter in Mandalay Bay (Updated - 59 Dead, 500+ Injured)

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police are investigating reports of an active shooter on the Strip. According to officers, everything is unfolding at and around Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino near Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno.

Witnesses at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival say they heard what sounded like firecrackers going off, but it was a bun. One witness said they heard nearly 100 rounds fired off.

Witnesses say people were also seen running with injuries and blood.

There wasn't any other information released. Everyone is encouraged to avoid the area.

Sounds like they have multiple shooters, many people down, and at least one hotel room on the 32nd floor of Mandalay barricaded... Possible car bomb at Luxor valet...
