The_Rocket Posted October 5, 2017 Share Posted October 5, 2017 The only reasons I could see St. Louis going for this is that they have Barbashev in the middle ahead of Kyrou in their prospect list, and Vanek will probably be better for them over the next two years. Blues win this deal in the short term, which might be enough for them to agree. I’d also be willing to include another vet, e.g dorsett, to get this done. Fanuck Posted October 5, 2017 Share Posted October 5, 2017 Kyrou was a real standout at the World Junior Summer Showcase this past summer. If he makes team Canada (highly likely after his performance this summer and his strong start in Sarnia this season (7 pts in 3 games). Very doubtful Vanek can bring a A+ prospect like Kyrou back in return imo, and even more doubtful that the Blues even entertain the offer past a phone conversation.
