When Boeser did get the puck he tried to pass it away move Boeser with the Sedins and Grandlund with the Bo and Baer I actually hope that they try Baer-Granlund-Boeser. These three like to share the puck and have looked good together before Baer fell ill. Baer-Granlund were also very good together in China. Stelar
Didn’t see the game. Did we still have Granlund playing with Dorsett and Sutter? Maybe next Green will move Boeser there.....
canuck2288
We could also move the Sedins to the third line, bench Vanek and put Grandlund with them

They need to drop the Sedins at season's end. Stating that they have "earned" the choice to stay Canucks is moronic. If this organization wants to actually ascend the NHL ladder and become a viable contender, they need to let the Sedins walk. Yes, they have to be told they won't be back next season. Benning has to grab control of this thing or walk away to let someone else take a shot. Nice guys finish last.

Jaimito
still early, but team can't be out worked, esp at home. Special teams a big let down, like last yr.

Not anymore. The Sedins are talent neutral. Keeping them versus replacing them makes zero difference. I'd rather have a couple of hard-nosed veterans who stand up for more than just their bloodline. Just now, ilduce39 said: I don't buy the angle that they're somehow a drag on the team - or if other current players received their ice/deployment they would be as productive let alone better. They were horrible on the powerplay. If you can't see that, I can't help you. Just now, ilduce39 said: Maybe when Gaudette joins at the end of the year - or Petterson in 2019. Until they're an afterthought after 2 strong lines and a checking line I can't buy into the get rid of the Twins line. The Sedins are done. They are slow, indecisive, and ineffective. I'd rather have workman lines putting in the effort and driving hard to the net than the delusion that two 37 year old players can recapture former glory. What about the management group that passed on Ehlers and Nylander... that keeps signing has-beens on 3 and 4 yr contracts... and can't show the backbone it takes to move the assets that will accelerate the re-build (Sedins, Edler, maybe even Tanev and, can't believe I'm saying this either, maybe Markstrom, too.) It is becoming clear that last year was not the bottoming out we'd hoped for. Unless Baer and Horvat have, again, career years... we will be finishing below last year's level. They are, at the present, a drag on the team, versus a propulsionary factor. They were great. They did amaze and entertain, but that was then, and that was a long time ago. They are players on the downslope of their careers. Two future hall of famers heading into the twilight.

tas
at this point I would trade either granlund or baertschi for athanasiou. the canucks desperately need some fast, straight line players. bo (sometimes) and jake (in limited ice time) is not enough speed. Wally is viscous, he'd put Daniel and Henrik on waivers. He'd pick up Markstrom and dump him in one of those big trash containers outside the arena and slam the lid. Then sleep like a baby.
