WHICH CONCERTS HAVE YOU ATTENDED?

420since1974

Recommended Posts

Far too many to talk about, the first act I remember seeing was Bobby Vee at the PNE, circa 1962. The first concert I ever went to was Iron Butterfly at the old PNE Forum. I've seen Pink Floyd and Roger Waters 3 times, Neil Young, Rod Stewart, David Bowie, George Harrison, Elton John,  6 times, Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Maria Muldaur, Deep Purple, the Dead, and the Stones to name a few. Regret not seeing, Queen, the Beatles, and Tom Petty. I know I'm missing many, as a few were back up groups for these headliners.

Love reading through this thread.

Couple big ones for me that I missed.

Tom Petty. Was a big deal for me as it was one of my Dads favorite songs was Free Fallin.

Billy Idol.

AC/DC

My Dad took me to my first concert. Metallica. He took me to many concerts growing up. We had a connection through live music.  Guess that is why I go to so many shows today.

Every show I take a moment to remember my Dad.

Damn beers...

That's what I was hoping would happen with this thread.

That some of you would spend some time reminiscing and remembering which shows you went to.

It took me parts of several weeks to compile my list.

Thankfully I had kept many ticket stubs, memory filled in the rest.

My absolute favourite show was Pink Floyd - 1994 Division Bell Tour - Commonwealth Stadium Edmonton

I believe it was, things were a little foggy, I was in Sidney were they were suppose to play and didn’t show ended up at a party and they played...

Saw a few reggae and ska shows too.

the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow was fun.

gwar not really a fan but the show was nothing short on insane ... the minions (what we now call little people) gard the stage and you could try to get through but they fight back in numbers....lol.

Saw them in Vancouver, same tour! On the floor at BC Place, sound was incredible for that barn. Tshirt was 30 or so bucks, still folded in my drawer. I keep stubs too, concerts and sporting events.

Usually I just enjoy the shows at the PNE... although some of the shows there are decent, with Olivia Newton-John being my favourite.

As for concerts.... only been to two, but they were always on my bucket list.

Barry Manilow and my favourite, the Pet Shop Boys.

I still wish to eventually see Elton John and I wish I could have went to a David Bowie or George Michael concerts.

Never much a concert guy TBH.... more into the symphony and musicals, lol.

thank you sir but hearing just my stories would get boring fast and i don't want to dominate the board. it would be great to have a pinned forum for just cdc's stories. i enjoy other's stories very much. we all have experiences we could share.

Your stories are not boring at all, Joe. Life experience never is.
