I wonder if he will get suspended for reentering ice after being escorted off.

From NHL Rule 70.6:

"Any player or goalkeeper who has been ordered to the dressing room by the officials and returns to his bench or to the ice surface for any reason before the appropriate time shall be assessed a game misconduct and shall be suspended automatically without pay for the next ten (10) regular League and/or Play-off games."

That is what I was thinking.

I just haven't heard news on it yet.

Speaking of Calgary of their backup Lack is probably out of a job very soon.

Help wanted: The Flames' backup goalie situation is untenable

In the two games Lack has started this season - his other two appearances were in relief - he has given up a combined nine goals on 43 shots in just under 84 minutes of play.

Furthermore, over the past two seasons, the 29-year-old has strung together a .898 save percentage and 2.86 goals-against average, the 51st- and 47th-best marks among all 52 goalies to play at least 50 games. So, don't expect Lack to suddenly turn things around.

It's becoming clear that something must be done here. Smith is currently day to day with an upper-body injury - which kept him out Wednesday - and while he may return as soon as Saturday, this could have long-term ramifications.

ugh. I feel for Eddie, he was a very decent and fun player here. He had a .921 save % and won 18 games in 2014. I'd trade Marky to Calgary for their 2019 1st and Lack, and go with a Nilsson/Lack combo.

Yeah I think he likely be to playing overseas...HOWEVER, it's not like the players in front of him showed much of an effort (Lack was never like Luongo in his prime - he can't win games on his own).  At least that's my viewpoint.

Matthew Tkachuk will have a hearing tomorrow with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his involvement in yesterday's brawl against the Red Wings.

Good.  I know about the 10-game minimum, but I wonder if that would get mitigated at all by Tkachuk's instigation.

Or give Tkachuk 5!  Kidding, a little.  As long as he gets something, then there's more history against him for when he pulls his next stunt.

Now, will the league investigate Marchand for sexual assault, for kissing Komarov?

His team played piss poor in front of him, especially his defensemen.

Out of the 5 goals he let in, maybe one or two of them were actually savable.

He is s likeable guy, I get that. However, he was awful in Carolina and is now bad in Calgary

his save percentage is horrible

the stats are what they are, he has not been good enough the last few years
