You can't focus on that... if he hadn't signed him to that huge contract at a bargain of a caphit for a goalie of Bobby Lu's quality, we wouldn't have been able to afford the teams we had during those dominant years. Ultimately it could have been great, or could have been the start of the rebuild a few years earlier if Lu didn't sign that albatross.... we will never know. The way Vancouver came to an amicable end with Rodin is evidence of how well Vancouver views players. Er, Canucks brass led Rodin on for 3 straight years. He was the Ted to our Robin. He got badly treated both here and in Utica, and letting him go back to Europe was the very least he deserved.

Are there particular instances where Rodin was poorly treated?

His agent plays a part here, not wising up to how this was going to go down - Usage in Utica; bottom six minutes with inferior linemates, rather than being given an opportunity to prove his worth. Not to mention, not being given games at all due to the veteran rule - In an era with Megna and Chaput, he simply wasn't given a chance to show his worth That's plenty right there. A year offer is essentially a show me contract. 32 minutes ago, Captain Azzy said: - Usage in Utica; bottom six minutes with inferior linemates, rather than being given an opportunity to prove his worth. It potentially made Tryamkin leave for the KHL. I agree that playing Chaput and Megna was dumbfounding. 32 minutes ago, Captain Azzy said: That's plenty right there.
