[Discussion] would you/won’t you: Louis Eriksson for Milan Lucic

Recommended Posts

They are both near 0.7 ppg this season and Loui is by far better defensively, particularly the PK so he's worth some ppg saved against on that side of the ledger too. Even in a bad offensive year Loui still brings the d side as well as we saw last season.

The only advantage Lucic is supposed to have is "intimidation" but there are cheaper and shorter term ways to get that.

points are used because it is what the person actually produced or contributed

who cares about ppg if the player is able to only play part of a season

Points are not the only stat that show a players contribution. You must be a new hockey fan....don't worry you'll learn

You right and the players he's supposed to be intimidating are skating circles around him and laughing

I would if they retained 50% of ML's contract. LE with CM would be fire though. He'd be back up in the 30 goal range.

Well in that case, wouldn't you keep Loui to play alongside Elias?

Lucic would slow our young team down and he's more than terrible defensively.  Now way to the man who skates in sand!

Oh yeah absolutely! But at the time of my original post, Petterson hadn't beat all of the SHL records as a teenager.
