He was actually good in junior, had hopes for him. And it would have been a good story to have him make the team. But my point still stands. BAD to have inherent bias when trying to fill out BPA in all positions from GM to sock boy. Actually, currently Brendan Dillon and Jujhar Khaira are the best players in the NHL from Surrey lol
Nuxfanabroad
MTL should pull the plug. - Pacc to OTT for a nice prospect(s) & pick(help them sink below OTT/Avs selection) - Gallagher to Winterpeg for TWO nice prospects(Vesalainen + ?). Take Perrault for cap? Can't see this roster doing anything for yrs. They ought to tank with purpose.
Nuxfanabroad
& the Habbies surge ahead, with Bergie makin late-nite moves from the disco. More moves pls..it's imperative Mtl stays under OTT next yr. Don't let dopey Dorion gift away the top pick to Colorado.
mll
Both teams are rebuilding but with very different approaches. Melnyk's rebuild - tear down everything and have some 10 rookies on the team this year and then 15 to 16 next season. It's a complete tear down. It doesn't sound like they care about staying competitive. vs Bergevin's rebuild. He refuses to use the word rebuild and wants to stay competitive. Molson also refuses to talk of rebuilding but says 'no doubt Bergevin is taking the necessary steps for us to get younger and faster and build a pipeline of young players'. Friedman says Bergevin was instructed to load up on picks and prospects.

How in Gawd's name could he bring up draft picks, atm?!? The Sens franchise has officially "Jumped The Shark"! Bettman might go straight to the UN, claiming Melnyk will employ chemical weapons on the hapless Rideau Canal skaters. This production beggars the imagination, & might set off WW3! Next para I'm employin' hyperbole, to emphasize...

He has zero credibility with his fans after years of mismanagement. This puts Dorion in an even worse bargaining position as the back up option of keeping the players is off the table. Karlsson’s agent really needs to publicly demand a trade before the season to get out of the circus. It is also tone deaf to put out these kinds of things on 9/11. DrJockitch
Melnyk has just made some fans very happy, unfortunately they are Colorado fans. 10 Rookies is nuts, when you don't have your draft pick it is just crazy. To promise 15-16 new players over the next two seasons. Never mind if they are ready or not. No team has 15 kids that they think can be pros over a 2 year span. What Bergevin is saying makes sense in this context, no other context but compared to this nonsense. Bergevin is essentially using a TL/JB Sedin line in the context of Price and Weber, but he doesn't have the drafting and developing chops of Benning (more like MG). mll
Postmedia was invited to talk to Melnyk and Dorion and they revealed their rebuilding plan - it happened a few days before the Karlsson trade.
Nuxfanabroad
Prob have stated before, but have a soft spot for 'dem Sens. Can anyone ascertain just WHAT the Hell they're doin?! If they lose Stone or Duchene for SFA, I'm officially OUT for following these guys. Dorion? Think it's too straightforward to blame his(mostly) apocalyptic deals. Melnyk has probably meddled continuously, tying his hands for outgoing $$$. Sam Pollock couldn't do biz under such restrictions. **************************************************:: Now the Habs I must admit, have really surprised(thus far). Bergevin has enjoyed 6-8 mos that'll prob save his @$$! Would like to see all Cdn teams continue their progress..'cept maybe them media-darlings in the town of Hogs. EP Phone Home
Hmm pretty hard to be a contender in two years when you don’t have that 1st rounder that very well may be 1OA this year. Oh boy what a plan Eugene has https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/eugene-melnyks-plan-senators-brings-cynicism-doubt/

Coincidence? How many goods will these cheapos flog? Is it akin to a yard sale in -30 C weather? Stay tuned...
