Doubtful unless the injured begin multiplying again. Once we get our forwards back we'll play close to .500 hockey again.

doubtful

the trend for the canucks

the last number of seasons

is they start off the season stronger

finish the last couple months in almost free fall

and the sedins stop getting points

this has been a pretty consistent trend

Canucks are not a .500 hockey club... especially in the 2nd half of the season when clubs start playing playoff style hockey......

Sounds like coach Green is running out of things to say. Perhaps he should ask Henrik and borrow his "50 ways to put a positive spin into an ugly loss" book.

Perhaps he should say:

"I'm going to head into that locker room now and throw a potato at everyone in it; whoever flinches gets benched and traded. We need warriors!"

So did the people whining about Edler just listen on the radio? The only goal he was on against us was a big rebound by Nilsson. Edler closed the gap and angled the guy off, but he scored on a back-hander from below the goal line. That one was on Nilsson. The rest of the goals were DZ-Tanev and one DZ-Pouliot.

Goldobin and Boucher are still too soft and seem timid against bigger teams.

Everyone did.

granlund on the rush stepping passed the redline just gives possession away because Adam Henrique came flying in on him.

ducks rattled the boards with us all night long.

Combine this with poor tending and this team doesn't belong in a playoff right now.

thats fine for now.

hopefully the next group will be.

We'll see. We're still missing 3 core forwards.

I don't see near .500 hockey beginning until Horvat and Sutter return, and even then it depends on what fresh injuries or trades might have happened before they do. We're better than December shows, but it will be tough to prove it as teams start grinding for playoff points.

Boy do the Canucks really miss Miller.

I think if you keep Miller on the canucks, we would be a playoff team... Or at least close.

Goaltending hasn't been good this year.

Tough to see us making playoffs at this point. Just have to build towards next year now =(
