Been noticing virtanen has been getting shifts late in the 3rd. Nice to see!

Wish guddy and edler played like that more often!

Dowd is gonna make a career out of a being face off specialist

once sutter is back, send goldy to utica? 7 mins of ice time is helping no one

Goldy floating on the backcheck after being benched for the same issue isn't helping anyone.  Either he figures that out or he can spend his career back home.

I like his talent but he has only himself to blame.

Jake and Gaunce have been playing well, turning into regular NHLers.  Dowd really helping to round out that line, too.

Gaunce has impressed me the most (Dowd starting to show he was a good pickup as well),  I have always liked Gaunce but felt there was some urgency missing from his game. He's really upped his play this year and has proven to me he's going to have a long career at least as a 4th line player in the league. He's actually improved his speed and quickness alot, is playing very hard on the boards and using his body finally. Really looking forward to see how this kid develops over time. Once we start the next runs with the new core, I think he will be a very valuable piece. We just need jake to start playing as hard as him and Bo and we're going to have some tough forwards to handle

A very strong, assertive, and physical game from the team tonight. The defense played a tight game, and was a far cry from the "AHL" squad look that folks have accused them of.

It's amazing how engaged the team is when Gudbranson throws his weight around. That slam to Anderson was just what the doctor ordered. The look of fear in his eyes was palpable. Glad to see Gaunce and Virtanen get goals.

Now that is Canucks hockey!

Markstrom is sickening. Anyone that loves to tank can't accuse Benning.

Team played well.

Do the Toronto thing this year. Trade Vanek, Gudbranson, Hutton, Tanev, and Edler. (keep one D. hopefully not Edler, he's just ugggg to any other player on his team.)

I'm not the GM, let him figure out how to replace these guys but they are brutal. Get picks, please blow up this $&!#e D.

Honestly, Stetcher and Mikey Del Zoolie only guys I keep. Biega sucks too. Bring up Holm.

Del Zotto has been on the ice for 62 goals against.  That's 24 goals against more than Hutton (who played 4 games less) for a pretty similar deployment.

I like Dowd but jury is still out, too small a sample size but he competes, plays a heavy game, is good defensively and was awesome in the circle tonight. Ask me at the end of the year but he could be a Manny 2.0 - plays a similar game

Thank Jeebus you're not the GM.

Maybe shouldn’t of made the ‘bold’ Move choosing #77 before actually showing you are an nhler ;)

Yeah but Hutton plays like a boy against men  and he's simple. MDZ is cheap and plays like a man, Hutton is an investment. I would rather go with the cheap guy that doesn't need coddling.

I don't think either are great but I would choose MDZ on my team any day of the week instead of the frosh-man wannabe. It's hard to con-notate but you can trust trust Michael vs happy guy.

Just my opinion of who I'd rather play with. Hutton is a punk, due out of the league in 2-3 years.

Whole D was excellent tonight.   Could see it right from the get go.  Edler and Stecher both made a few good pinches, like really smart aggressive ones that led to shots, and then Elder laid down the BOOM.  Guddy was manhandling guys in the crease and Tanev really helps Hutton's game out.

The Dowd line was good again.  More than good.  He is a solid 4th line center, and I am unsure why LA gave up on him.  Gaunce was finally rewarded.  Jake was flying and hitting.  And got minutes at the end of the game as a reward.

Brock was shut down thoroughly.  Gagner is just not a good enough center for him.  Bo can not come back soon enough.  Oh, and Vanek is a beauty.

The only player out there that concerned me was Goldobin.  Dude looks lost.  He is always chasing the play.  Shadowing his center up and down the ice, and rarely going to the dirty areas for passes or loose pucks.  I don't know what he is going to do when we get healthy... On a side note, I noticed him looking all around during the anthems, at the camera, into the stands, at the other team, at his feet.  He seems (and looks too!) like a little kid with ADHD.
