Are the Sedins future changing?

I brought up Wally Buono.  The reason he lasted so long was his cut throat ability to cut ties with beloved aging vets BEFORE they actually crashed and burned out. Or more importantly, became more of a liability than an asset to the team as a whole, whether with play and/or cap demands.

But.....look how it turned out with Geroy Simon. If the Sedin's are forced off the team, to retire, or decide to be rented out to another team for a season or two, their legacy here does not disappear. We all still recognize what they have done for our team, our city, our province. Even if, as Geroy was for a while, they may feel disappointed and even betrayed for a time. But those Swedes are as level headed as they can be and would understand that business is business eventually if not sooner. And like Simon, they would be welcomed back with open arms here to contribute in any way they wanted to with the team, if they so chose, once they retired.

The best divorces are the one's where the parents get along after and make the kid's the priority.

I think the Canucks and the Sedins need to make the Canucks their priority right now.  Time to move on.

Benning has been sucking on the Sedin teet long enough. Time to cut bait.....next year.  The new leaders of this team will not be leaders until the twins have politely moved along. However, while they're here, sign up Jagr and see what the three old timers can do. Edit - send Jake to Utica so he can get appropriate ice time for his development.
