I already have a home in desirable Penticton and I would never live in a dump like Surrey. Penticton is a pretty spot 2 months of the year July/August but basically a ghost town with a Dairy Queen as the centre of cultural activities the rest of the year.... So sorry , i like most of BC citizens take a pass on living in the big P . Surrey on the other hand is so great and popular... it is now the fastest growing city in BC and probably in all western canada.

Everyone knows there is no work in Penticton. Apparently Surrey doesn't offer much for employment either as they're 17. I guess the only reason people are moving to surrey is because they cant afford homes in Vancouver so they move to the crime capital of Canada and commute to Vancouver for work.

The only reason people move to Penticton is because they are nearing old age.... Could be a good place to retire if you don't enjoy being around people..... kingofsurrey
Now we are talking Calgarians...... well done. Despite the lack of heat recently in Calgary, an Irish energy company is banking on a lot of sunshine to fuel a potential new solar energy farm. DP Energy is proposing a 156-acre solar energy production facility within Calgary city limits. If approved, it would be the largest in Western Canada. https://globalnews.ca/news/4931598/calgary-solar-farm-proposal/ Edited February 7, 2019 by kingofsurrey
