I caught glimpses of it and it's like regular curling on steroids. Didn't nail down all the rule differences but the pace is much faster than what you would traditionally see. Boy oh boy are you going to be disappointed with hockey this year. I know the US is going to do poorly and I don't have high hopes for Canada either. Russia looking like the favourite here.

Apple Juice
Remind me again why they decided to go with Mixed Curling teams? I was looking forward to seeing Jennifer Jones and her team dominate against the other countries

Also, Rachel Homan's team is representing Canada at these Olympics.
KyoNami
Canada is sitting in first after the Men's short and Pairs short in the figure skating team event. How on earth did Patrick manage to hold onto third....

Hope they get a podium. Top five in short program makes the cut to final, but points in the short count. So they are in the best spot so far. They usually don't compete so early in the day, many guys didn't make their jumps.

As Brad pointed out, Rachel Homan is representing Canada, while Kevin Koe represents the men. However, the regular third for Jennifer Jones is there, as Kaitlin Lawes is teamed up with John Morris in mixed doubles. They currently sit in a 4 way tie for first with Switzerland, Norway and Russia. All have records of 3-1. Canada's next two opponents are Switzerland and Russia, so we'll see soon how they stack up. (I've watched a couple of their games so far and they've both been inconsistent. Morris had a rough game in the loss to Norway, but looked better yesterday) Lawes is going to be doing a lot of curling this year, as the Jennifer Jones team managed to win the Scotties without her and will represent Canada in the World Championships, in March. UnkNuk
Heck of a way to treat two leaders, I think. "Two impersonators, bearing striking resemblances to President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, were both booted from the Olympic Games' opening ceremony in Pyeongchang, South Korea on Friday." http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/02/09/trump-kim-jong-un-impersonators-tossed-from-olympics-opening-ceremony.html

Well either way, women's Canadian curling has been dominant for almost 2 decades so we should be in good hands
