Guile
Huh... the next domino? DiDomenico kinda came out of nowhere (as far as I know) with the Sens this season, and I believe Pokka was/still might be a decent D prospect - smaller, smooth puck mover type? RRypien37
Woah can't believe its been almost 6 years since Pokka was drafted. He had a lot of hype behind him on these boards a few years ago.

Rush17
Pokka wow lol. He was so highly praised just a few short years ago. I do not even know the other guy coming back.

Nucker 67
Maybe Pokka just needs a change of scenery and a fresh start. He never really got a chance in CHI, but he will in OTT. Good move Sens.
Jester13
Pokka? I hardly know him.
oldnews
i guess Pokka's skating didn't improve enough to Chicago's liking (and style) but I like him - like the deal for Ottawa (and that doesn't happen often lol).
rekker
Kind of deal we should look for. A project Dman. Hopefully we are holding out for a better quality project though .
BananaMash
Every time Ottawa makes a trade I try and figure out how many real dollars it saves Eugene. That's all I can think about, even when it's a trade this small.

OTT loses a lot of money, they didn't sell out 2nd round playoff games last year. Its unreasonable to expect an owner to continue to lose millions out of his pocket and not shed some salary. Ottawa is a disaster in general, you won't get any argument out of me in that regard. Everything from the top to the bottom has issues. And it's all amplified by how horrible their arena location is. ArkDepot
Quote OTT acquire Ville Pokka from CHI for Chris DiDomenico a weird dance for a cheap frozen pizza ? #fairtrade
amplified0ne
DiDomenico was pretty decent at the 2009 WJC if I remember. Taken a while to figure it out but will probably be a depth guy at the NHL level a tweener now AHL/NHL.

skolozsy2
Pokka was never going to be part of the Blackhawks plans, which is unfortunate, because that's who they got in the Nick Leddy trade. So they pretty much lost Leddy for nothing. Not sure why Ottawa didn't grab Pokka in September when the Hawks waived him, so I guess it's good on the Hawks that they at least got something for him.
