In my mind, however, there is no way that Karlsson and his wife move this forward if they were not 100% (150%?) convinced that this woman was responsible. Hockey is too devoted to teammates to throw another guy under the bus haphazardly. They only would have done this if they knew who it was and had no other recourse. It is also hard to imagine that Hoffman is innocent in all of this. Thousands of messages were sent. They probably knew well before the recent restraining order. He has a major rift with ownership, collected the puck after his last home game and now his wife has been allegedly bullied by a teammates partner. Ottawa is a mess. They were awful last year and will likely lose their best two players over this. Former players are lobbying for a new owner. Even if they trade Karlsson they have to trade Hoffman over this. I wonder what it is about this crazy woman that he would keep her around.
