Primal Optimist
Very happy to have the chance to take Evander Kane in the 7th round, 194th overall. Quote Whether Kane will be the centrepiece of an exciting build in Arizona; whether he’ll stay healthy; whether he’ll achieve that 50-goal season he says is in his future; whether his track suits will stay out of the shower. A lot of eyes will be on this new Arizona team, and on Kane, though No. 9 has never been one to avoid the spotlight. “That’s what sports is,” he says. “It’s an entertainment business.” Our starting lineup is now pretty much set. Nice to have Antti Raanta in the mix as well. Your Arizona Coyotes Starting Lineup! Evander Kane, Nathan MacKinnon, Sam Reinhart Jake Muzzin, TJ Brodie Carey Price. arby18_
SAN JOSE - Looks like the Sharks are intending to "go for it" out of the gate of the EKL. After straddling the fence with their first two picks of Gaudreau (24) and Couturier (25), the team could've gone either way. Would they go youth and think long-term? Or go add some veterans and give it a whirl? Well, when Ovechkin (32) fell to us in the 3rd round, the decision was made for us. Fowler and Dubnyk then followed, but with Ovi and Duby already 32 years of age, the time is now. Instead of drafting players for far down the road, we've since reigned in our spending by adding some youngsters on affordable contracts who can play out of the gate. Jost, Tuch and Honka are all 22 or younger and on their ELC's still, and their combined ~$5m has got our cap back in order. We also expect all of them to play a lot this coming year and beyond. -------------------------------------------- Gaudreau - Couturier - Ovechkin Jost - Tuch Fowler - Honka Dubynk -------------------------------------------

Primal Optimist
I was a little shocked to see the cap hits so high on Alex Nylander and Mike Rasmussen..but then refreshed my memory on our terms being the AAV, which is fair. In the end, three years each locked up with us, and then RFA rights for just 1.7 million more or less on each of em...I love it! Just a momentary 'ohh noes' when the cap hit doubled from 850k lol...luckily i just forgot is all. Okay good luck drafting I am off for an MRI and Spirometry, GO BRONCHTiS/WALKING PNEUMONIA!!, I am cheering for the outcome that is easily fixed. 2
