OK, maybe talk some prospects.  All that's going in Florida? Here are the highlights;

Ty Smith, wow, 29 points in 18 games as a D man in the W.  Stoked!

Jakob Lauko, solid in the Q.  11 goals and 10 assists = 21 points in 18 games. Not bad?

Ivan Morozov, playing mostly MHL in Russia where he has 8 goals and 14 points in 12 games. A swan song in the KHL as well!

Grig Denisenko playing mostly KHL. Off the goose egg with 3 points. Not sure if that's good?

Denisenko, Lauko, Smith & Morozov, Jakub Galvas should all play WJC's?

Tyler Benson above a point a game in the American league. Chlapik just under; 9 points in 12 games.

Ryan Kuffner killing the NCAA Ivy League, 7 goals & 13 points in 7 games.

Nicholas Halloran and Colt Conrad also hovering at a point a game in the NCAA.

Jeremy Roy looking like a top AHL D man.

Be really helpful if Benson, Roy or maybe longshot Chlapik would get called up?

Carolina has lots of quality forwards available. Toffoli, Schenn, Burakovsky, Perrault, and Palmieri to name a few. Could look at trading some elite talent if the right deal came along. Looking to acquire some quality defence or go the picks/prospects route if the offer was good enough.

Lots of rams looking for dmen should hit up CBJ!

Also have guys like Boone Jenner, Brandon Dubinsky, Zach Hyman who can help teams looking to make a run!

Robin Lehner has also been in some talks as well for teams wanting/needing a goalie. Looking at picks and my future in any deals

SAN JOSE -- The prices of d-men appear to be quite high in the EKL, which I suppose isn't surprising in a brand new competitive league. We'll take our time in finding some help for our blueline with Cam Fowler and Jason Demers out for quite some time, but perhaps we will be able to handle their injuries as our squad continues to hold its own and are climbing the standings without them. If Connor Carrick returns soon and Jonas Siegenthaler gets into some games then perhaps we'll be okay, but we'll continue to peruse the trade market with draft picks and prospects being dangled, including our 2019 1st.
