CBJ's offense drops drastically after Panarin. Their second highest forward is a rookie with 48 points (Dubois).

Meanwhile Caps have Ovi (87), Kuznetsov (83), and Backstrom (71). Not to mention a 68 point D man (Carlson)

Caps in 6.

Yet the Capitals have never come out of the 2nd round in the Ovechkin era. I'm predicting a CBJ upset.

WCE was shutdown by hot goaltending and knocked out early before. Playoffs are a new season. Bobrovsky could very well steal a series and Dubois has been very hot as of late, but inexperienced in the playoffs. A couple of Columbus' guys have underperformed compared to the year before, so they have room to improve still. Also, Seth Jones has been lights out this year. Seeing as Washington is going with Grubauer to start (and rightfully so, Holtby hasn't been great this year), I think it will come down to his performance to see if he can get Washington over the first hurdle.
