Happy to see Vanek doing well -- may be one of the more productive rental players that has been doing very well with his new team. It will be interesting to see if he would want to come back in Vancouver, even though the Sedins aren't coming back.

Good for Vannie.......really loved him in Vancouver......esp with BB.   Wonder if he'd come back to Vanc. or if Columbus will offer him a contract.

Nah. However, he could provide some leadership for the young players then trade him again at the trade deadline. He would fetch more at next year's trade deadline if continues to put up points and becomes a big factor in the playoffs.

He wants a multi-year deal and a NMC - he wants to have his family with him and wants stability.  Last year they stayed in Minnesota.

Probably the series I am least interested in, with that said... Caps tie it at 1.

Quite opposite for me perrenial playoff chokers versus team that's never won a series who will break? Kind of an interesting dynamic between the teams lack of playoff success
