If they wanted Markstrom for Cory maybe. But if he does not turn it around.. where does that leave us? 

 

It puts demko exposed with no safety net.  That could stall his development or worse. He's a pretty bright even keeled kid but if the team falls apart in front of him and he's getting 40+ starts. Man that would wear on his confidence and take away from his development time in practice. (Backups usually get more attention in practices)
