I as well. OV gets too much of the criticism when the Caps lost out in previous years. He can only do so much as a winger. He seems like he just loves the game. One of the best goal scorers of all time.

My heart says Ovi will crush the Penguins finally but my brain says Ovi will just be excellent as per usuall and the Caps will fail to beat the Pens yet again.

I dont mind the Pens but I'd be happier if the Caps finally got past them. I think beating Crosby and co. would be the next best thing to winning the cup for Ovie and I think he deserves that.

I would think the three-peat is a drive for the Pens. First team to do it in a long time.

It will be interesting to see how the Capitals matchup against the defending cup champions and if they can make it to the finals which they haven't been able to after consistent regular season success in the last decade. However, I could see this series going to seven games with the Penguins coming out as the winners.

For the first few games the Penguins will dominate the Capitals then something big that happens in the series will spark the Capitals. 

 

Capitals come back down 3-0 to beat the Penguins in 7.

You'd have to think the amount of hockey the Pens have played is going to catch up to them one series, and the odds of the Caps losing 3 years in a row seems low. To me this is a 50/50 split. I picked Caps just because why not.

6 games is clearly everyone's favorite number. It leads each poll by a considerable margin. 

I think the Caps finally get it done this year. They looked like they were going to roll over and die against the Jackets but came storming back and steam rolled them four straight. They gotta get out of the second round eventually. These teams are way too good to keep fizzling out here. The Pens without Malkin for however long only works in the Caps favor, but then again the Pens are spectacular at finding ways to get it done, and the Caps are obvious notorious chokers

Caps look like the much faster team. Losing Malkin obviously hurts more than losing Hagelin, but Hagelin would have really helped cover some ice.
