2018 Young Stars Classic

Recommended Posts

I really hope that the Canucks, Oilers, Flames and Jets management/owners can work out some sort of rotational agreement where the current years host team sets the location for the upcoming competition. With out multiple NHL teams involved , the Young Stars Tournament is likely going to cease to exist.

Would love to see a line of Gadjovich - Gaudette - Palmu. A good group of tenacious gritty forecheckers that have some high end skill as well.

That would leave a top line of Dahlen - Pettersson - Lind/Jasek which would provide the scoring punch they need.

Great group of forwards going this year.

Damn, that's the best lineup we've ever sent to this tourney. Too bad it's the one year where it's taken a skid downhill. Watching Dahlen and Petterson reunite will be a real treat, though. Nice to see Eggenberger in the lineup, could be a decent free prospect for us.

Eggenberger is still draft eligible for 2019 so this is more a show me your worth a pick scenario.

Could he be a free prospect signing if he shows enough? I was surprised when he wasn’t drafted.

No, he's still eligible for the 2019 draft as his draft year he played in Europe and not NA. He cannot be signed by us unless he passes through next draft as well, if he does I doubt we sign him then either.
