-Vintage Canuck-
Quote A person with direct knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Ottawa Senators assistant general manager Randy Lee is being charged with harassment following an altercation that occurred during a shuttle bus ride back to his Buffalo hotel. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity to The AP on Friday morning because Lee was scheduled to be arraigned in court later in the day. The person said Lee was arrested Thursday night after he was being transported back to his hotel from a downtown restaurant and bar. Lee is in town with other NHL team officials attending the league's annual pre-draft scouting combine, which runs through Saturday. Lee has spent 23 seasons with the Senators and just completed his fourth as assistant GM. The Senators have not responded to a message seeking comment. https://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/ap-source-senators-assistant-gm-lee-arrested-buffalo-55586553

nuckin_futz
A little more color on the situation........ Ottawa Senators assistant general manager Randy Lee has been charged with harassment in relation to an incident with an employee at a Westin Hotel in Buffalo. Lee has been released after an appearance in a Buffalo courtroom Friday morning, with no representation. His passport was seized and the judge told Lee he must stay away from the hotel. He was scheduled to appear in court again on Monday. Lee is in town for the NHL Combine that got underway Monday morning at the KeyBank Center. An Ottawa spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment. http://ottawasun.com/sports/hockey/nhl/ottawa-senators/ottawa-senators-assistant-general-manager-randy-lee-to-appear-in-buffalo-court ****************************** Sounds pretty serious. I've said this before but I think it needs to be said again...for whatever Aquaman's faults, one can never accuse him of being cheap. Thank the hockey gods we have him as the owner of the Canucks instead of a guy like Melynk.

It's a quiet hard-working small city for crying out loud! It's not like this is Vegas or something. You Canadians have to learn to keep it in your pants! Blue Jay 22
Sounds like textbook sexual harassment. Innocent until proven guilty of course, but if the allegations are true, this should be the end of his career in hockey management.

He's fortunate that the DA is only charging him with 2nd degree harassment. It's a violation, like a speeding ticket. He'll end up paying a small fine if he just wants it to go away fast or if he fights it with a lawyer, it will most likely be completely dismissed if he hires a good locally based attorney like Evander Kane did with his misdemeanors. The DA won't want to spend the money for an investigation.
