He is not averaging a point a game? 23yrs old, 5'10 we already have lots of player way head of him..

He would be maybe 15th on Canucks prospects list under 23...Would not sign him..

Gp 41 -- 32 Pts

GP 44-- 34 Pts

I wouldn’t sign Lukosevicius either. Not right now anyway. But he has a chance, just like every other invite.

He’s a pretty good player. Started out on the fourth line for Denver and worked his way up to the first line. Scored a hat trick and was the MVP in Denver’s championship win. Was second on the team to Borgstrom in goals last year (21).

From what I can gather, he was a standout at Montreal’s camp last year. Has a pretty wicked release by most accounts. Got noticed for being one of the harder workers on the ice and bringing energy and effort to every practice, drill, and scrimmage. Apparently he plays a pretty gritty game, strong on the forecheck, pushes the pace, aggressive, and goes hard to the net.

He’s only 5’10” but he’s built pretty solid at around 200 lbs.

I could see him maybe becoming a decent bottom-six guy one day or at least being good AHL depth.

Not a guy you sign without putting him through the paces first and making him work for it and prove himself worthy of s deal. But that’s what invites are for.

Some notes:

Interesting thing is doesn't appear Artyom Manukyan is coming for now on the list.

Dylan Plouffe will be attending Canucks prospects camp (from Vancouver Giants) after he was a late addition to last years main camp.  Was supposed to attend Florida's main camp but they withdrew their offer and was invited to the Canucks instead.

Tyler Soy was a former Anaheim Ducks 7th round pick in 2016, who was let go back into the draft this June.

Isaac Nurse is cousins with Edmonton Oilers, Darnell Nurse.

Christopher Paquette is cousin of Tampa Bay Lightning, Cedric Paquette

Sahvan Khaira is brother of Edmonton Oilers, Jujhar Khaira.

Nando Eggenberger was eligible for this years draft at 18, but was passed over.  Could be on the Canucks radar in the future.

Not a whole lot of star talent there but it will be good to see Palmu and Gadjovich reunited, plus get a closer look at Lind, DiPietro and Rathbone.

Brassard will also be interesting to see.  He had big numbers after a slow start.

Glad to see a guy like Isaac Nurse get the invite. His numbers don’t really jump off the page, but this kid’s game is all about energy and effort and being the hardest working player on the ice every night. Skates really well too, has a pretty good shot, and plays much bigger than his size.

Here’s just a sampling:

That Dan Lawrie Premium Player of the Year award is a team award for the player with the most “Hardest Worker of the Game” honours over the season.

Here’s his full 2017-18 goals vid (with a fight snuck in there for good measure)
