R.Dahlin26
He might be the steal of the draft. He has the skill of a top 10 pick. Reminds me of Kyle Connor.

With a better 200 ft game... Like his Dad.
Phat Fingers
This is a Brackett pick that could pay of really well. Sons of NHLers do have an advantage in turning pro. Madden would have had the same access that others did, just was on the small size. His dad was a heck of a good player.

The wheels and the hands alone dictate that...but he has smarts to go with it....!
Kanukfanatic
Man...it is exciting to hear such great things about a 3rd round pick. If JB snags a couple of those to go with our blue chippers this team will be great. Need some great D picks or trades for great young D pretty much NHL ready now. Wahlstrom was a highly touted pick and probably will have a good career. That has nothing to do with the Canucks picking Tyler Madden captain hindsight.

One was a highly touted high first round pick. The other a 3rd rounder who is playing very well for the Canucks right now in college. You were really high on Wahlstrom before the draft but now you disparage him because the Canucks did not pick him???? On 6/23/2018 at 10:28 AM, Rollieo Del Fuego said: I don't like Chicago drafting right after us....I think we win the Hughes/Boqvist match-up...but the Madden/Wise one is doubtful....Madden needs to put on 40 LBS just to have a chance to be better than Wise...! I don't think we have ever drafted a player at 150 Lbs or lighter before....his dad could shut down guys like Kesler so there is hope.... You sure were not high on Madden when he was picked. He hasn't put on any weight yet he plays very well. No need to disparage other draft picks to make Madden seem better. You also wanted Wise over him. Anyway, we got ourselves a good prospect because of JB. 2 4

C's Bo, Adam, and Tyler all love toe-danglin' on the rush. And of course Petey is lord of all.

canuckledraggin
I love these legacy players who were mentored and coached by their fathers into exceptional prospects. I think we passed over some, who we shouldn't have, but I'm definitely encouraged by the progression of Madden. He plays with an edge like is father, but when John was interviewed post-draft he conceded that his son had greater offensive instincts than he ever did. I look at that WJC as a huge stepping stone. First of all he made the team, when he was clearly on the fringes of that lineup before they hit the ice. Then he was able to work his way up the lineup until he was finally on a line with Jack Hughes. Even now we can see that he plays the game like Jack in a way that he didn't before that tournament. He's a player like Horvat who just keeps pushing that glass ceiling well above what anyone thought of him as a draft hopeful.
Popular Post SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
So if Northeastern (vs BU) and Harvard (vs BC) both win their semis on Monday, we’ll have Madden vs Rathbone for the Beanpot. https://www.beanpothockey.com/ Edited February 3, 2019 by SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME 3

Podzilla
Didn’t know his hands were that good. Him and Petey on a line one day might break too many ankles.

DeNiro
We need more of that kind of swagger in the lineup. Love the confidence this kid plays with.
