When he sees it's hijacked by some fancyFinn? When that occurs, he gets despondent & doesn't sign w/us... Don't LIKE where this is all heading..it feels like a DirecTV ad..smarten up CDCers! Could be worse, at least most of the comments about him are positive. It's not like Tram's thread or Jake's, where a handful of posters spam the threads with garbage about how useless and crappy they are, trying to chase them away. Madden is going back to Northeastern for his sophomore year. IIRC there was an official announcement a little while back. If he was a D man, then I would agree with you. But he plays center/wing, so I think he comes out after this year or next for sure. The Canucks will give him a couple games at the end of the 2020 or 2021 season. He will then burn a full year off his ELC. Staying the extra year or two would mean he can only sign with a team other than the Canucks after August 15th. He would lose two or even three years of earning. Plus, he would get to his bigger dollar second contract a lot later too.
