I missed it, did JB trade a high 6th for a late 6th and 7th?

None the less nice pick here, some raw talent in this youngster.

I'm wondering the same. How does Washington fit onto this? I thought we had the 6th pick.

6th this year, 6th next year.

he’s a bit.. light?

I don’t really chime in on the weight of prospects, but this guy is what I weighed in grade 7...

Doesn't matter. He ripped apart the MHL a couple seasons ago.

He traded our 6th rounder this year to WAS for there sixth rounder this year + WAS's sixth rounder next year (2019). Which is a good deal for the Canucks.

Was hoping for Anderson MacDonald, Liam Kirk, or Samuel Harvey at this pick but I'm fine with this...

SPEED AND SKILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like how Benning isn't afraid of draft smaller players.

He traded original 6th, for Washington's 6th from this year and next year.

Nice way to get an extra pick without really giving up much

Benning really was serious about the ‘speed and skill’ thing, we haven’t picked one guy yet over six feet.

Not complaining, it just shows the direction management is going. Remember when Benning first came over and everyone freaked out he was going to be picking massive goons with little upside like Bittner?
