Pod would be higher for be if he were not under contract. Theres obvious risks about him and im glad that Benning has to decide whether they're worth taking or not. But purely speaking as a player I'd slot him above cozens.

I had Dach in my top 3 for a while but the more I watch Turcotte the more I like him over Dach. Both will be impact players for sure, slight edge to Turcotte with dach, Zegras and Cozens right behind for me.

Ghostsof1915
If Cozens skating is that good, shouldn't that get high consideration? Dach is also a good choice. I'd be happy with Soderstrom. Even though he's plummeted in Craigs eyes. 1

YearoftheNuck
Wow Button’s List is straight cooky dooks, but interesting as hell lol. Oh man if we got to choose between Dach, Turcotte and Cozens!! I don’t see any way whatsoever that all three of those players are there when we’re picking. And if things played out similar to this, and Soderstrom was still available at 25 I bet Benning would be offering up our second and whatever else it took to get that pick. Waking out of the draft with Turcotte or Cozens as well as Soderstrom would be absolutely insane. When reading Button’s list I kept hearing his comments during the U18s playing through my head. I think he’s solid at what he does, but he falls in love with certain players and seems to put on his blinders when watching them. For instance I watched ever Canada game and I personally wasn’t nearly as impressed with Harley as Button was. Even when Harley had a bad shift Button would somehow find a way to praise him. It was the same with Broberg.

Button will find his gems and look like a genius at times. Never know what to expect. I guess when you make a lot of calls you’re bound to hit on a couple of them.

spook007
To be honest, I'm lost... I haven't got a clue which player to go for any longer.... I think if available, I'd like Dach or Cozens simply because, while being good players, they also have some size to inject into our top six. But find it extremely hard to find anyone in the top 15, who wouldn't fit like hard in a glove on our team. As Smithers normally says... Its all clear as mud. Glad I don't have to make the selection anywhere from 4-15.... so much potential... even throughout the first round. PS should be possible to catch a decent player in the second round as well. 1 2
