This is why the US is headed to civil war.  People cannot even sit back and sympathize or empathize with someone who just watched their colleagues gunned down, instead they need to make it a political point.  

 

I am openly guilty of doing just that, but I think as Canadians we can openly sit back in wonder about why nothing will ever change in the US of A

Texas is the only state with the constitutional right to secede. And given the state of the US as a whole, the only way out would be civil war.

It feels like they're headed down that road anyways.

There's potential but it's too much of a police state for an uprising. I'd imagine any group large enough to pose an actual threat will have been infiltrated by that point.
