Popular Post aqua59
In the end adding this toughness is going to pay off. Vancouver needed to bring in more than one tough guy that could play. Too bad for some people on this team. I've been so tired of soft hockey in Vancouver. 4 1

I am not too concerned about how many games we win or lose as there are so many things that can happen with this team, lots of variables. But if we play tough, aggressive, skilled hockey it will be so much fun to watch I won't care. Greens vision of a 4 line constant pressure team will win a lot of fans over. We have the roster to play that way now. 2 1
Gaudette Celly
Juolevi making the roster will help, and when Hughes comes in we will REALLY start to see the puck moving and offense clicking with a push from the back end. Won't be long now 2

Brock and Elias and hughes is on the way. for once we have someone that you really wouldn't want to make mad and he would be if someone ran our boys... if anyone can't get how important this signing was, need to take a second look... That’s the only reason for him not to be on our fourth line. He’s just like Gaunce, but way more physical, tougher, and harder to play against. I guess if Gaunce played the same physical game that Schaller did, we wouldn’t have signed Schaller.

Popular Post CRAZY_4_NAZZY
https://www.stanleycupofchowder.com/2018/8/24/17775392/tim-schaller-2017-2018-hockey-nhl-boston-bruins-evaulation-free-agent-vancouver-canucks Quote Oh Timmy, how we are going to miss seeing all those cutouts of your face at the Garden. Tim Schaller became a free agent this summer and was sent off West to the Vancouver Canucks. Schaller had arguably his best NHL season, he didn’t miss a single game. He produced on the ice, leading the team in shorthanded goals and racking up points. Though he was a bit player in this Bruins roster, the New Hampshire native won over our hearts with his philanthropic work and all those damn Timmy faces in the crowd. Games played: 82 Goals: 12 Assists: 10 Points: 22 Plus/minus: minus-5 Total time on ice: 1089 Average time on ice: 13:17 Penalty minutes: 42 5v5 CF%: 50.4 5v5 FF%: 51.4 Schaller stayed on the fourth line manning the left wing. He had a career high of 22 points this season with the B’s. The season prior, he had 14 points to his name. A steady increase in production throughout his career can be a promising note for the Vancouver Canucks going into the 2018-2019 season. Though he is not a player the Bruins ever looked to specifically for point production, he brought energy to a young fourth line that generated a good amount of goals. He had a career-high of 12 goals this season, three of them short-handed. He proved he could score goals and lend a helping hand to special teams. Let us all remember that wonderful goal against the New York Rangers. Playing all 82 games this season is something to be proud of looking at how battered this Bruins team was. Injuries throughout the season was certainly a frustrating feat for the team, but Schaller never sat out a game and gave support to his at times injury infested team. He didn’t walk away pain-free, though. Schaller underwent hand surgery this summer. He should be good to go come October for his debut with Vancouver. Though he had a season of career highs, the fourth line really struggled in the second round of the playoffs. They couldn’t put up a fight against the offensively hot Tampa Bay Lightning. The fourth line lacked energy and experience throughout the playoffs, bringing a bit of a disappointing ending to Schaller’s time in a Bruins sweater. Could it have been that hand injury he took care of over the summer? Aside from his high and lows this season, it wouldn’t be a Tim Schaller evaluation without giving the #TimmyHeads some spotlight. A touching tribute from his older brother whom Tim donated bone marrow to save his life, those large images of his mustached face filled me with joy. I wasn’t the only one, these faces became a staple for Boston home games, getting love from fans and players alike. The #TimmyHeads became a great piece of charity, raising funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund. Through the sale of #TimmyHeads merchandise, Schaller raised over $10,000 this season. For his charity work, he was presented the John P. Bucyk award at the end of the season. Aggregate Grade: B+ I’m sad to see Tim go this season. He suited up for every game, saw a good increase in point production, and provided high on-ice energy. This was a big season for Tim’s career and I would have loved to see the local kid continue to grow with the Bruins. Sure, he was no Brad Marchandor Patrice Bergeron, but he had an impressive season full of growth. You will be missed Tim, thanks for everything. Quote BY THE NUMBERS Last season, the trio combined for 30 goals. Kuraly was the only one of the three to not score at least ten goals. Since the departure of the “Merlot Line,” the Bruins had struggled to get production from their fourth line. As the NHL has become faster, the Bruins had struggled to adapt. These three were not just willing to throw their bodies around, but also could fly up and down the ice. Through their first 23 games together, they allowed just four goals, including two on 5-5 action. They were trusted against other team’s top lines, which allowed the Bruins forwards more rest. All three were undrafted and played with a chip on their shoulder. http://bostonsportsextra.com/boston-bruins/2018/08/bruins-fourth-line-memorable-run Not only was he a fan favourite, but he did his job extremely well for a 12 min a night, fourth line energy/shutdown grinder. He is a bit on the unnotable side for us, but from the sounds of it, Boston fans and media agree that they will miss Tim, which can only be a gain for us. Quote They had a “defense first” attitude, which allowed for offensive counter opportunities. They grinded on every shift. The trio was not as physical as the “Merlot Line,” but they were still willing to throw their bodies around. Their play set a new standard for the fourth line. Exactly what Benning referred too. Hoping possibly pairing with a way better centre in Jay Beagle, and perhaps a mix of Virt, Granny, Leiper or Roussel well emulate that success. SingleThorn
Thanks to @CRAZY_4_NAZZY for the article. Have to admit, I've probably seen Schaller at least 4 times on TV, but was totally unaware of him until he signed with us. Went to HockeyDB expecting to see a primo AHL stat sheet. He is one of the many 'must see' players that I'll be keeping an eye on at training camp ( or early season ).
Gaudette Celly
He would have been 5th on our team in goals scored, and 15th in TOI for forwards.
