bishopshodan
Always thought these things were too damn loud (never mind most of them hardly do the trick of getting your hands dry) And like most things, they are mounted at average person height... They're even louder for your kids at their face level and they have to get closer ( even louder) due to shorter arms. Gonna make your little ones deaf. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/01/us/hand-dryers-children.html

RUPERTKBD
This is just a tragedy all around, but I'm just astounded at the stupidity of Grampa.... https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/toddler-falls-to-her-death-after-grandfather-dangles-her-from-cruise-ship/ar-AAE1HCS?li=AAqARMz Quote A one-year-old American girl slipped from her grandfather's hands and fell to her death off a docked cruise ship in Puerto Rico, authorities said Monday. The man was holding his grandchild out a window on the Freedom of the Seas cruise ship when he lost his grip and dropped her, police told The Associated Press. The child fell the equivalent of 11 storeys and died. The incident happened Sunday afternoon with the cruise ship docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Seriously....on what planet does this seem like a good idea to anyone? Poor little one....

Well, considering you just washed your hands and it's a hand free dryer, I'd wager it's far more hygienic than any other form of hand drying

Google...'hand dryers bacteria' . Lots of studies, here's one. https://www.iflscience.com/health-and-medicine/hand-dryers-spread-bacteria-so-dramatically-that-scientists-think-theyre-a-public-health-threat/ In lab-based experiments recreating a public washroom, jet-air dryers introduced 27 times more bacteria into the air than good-old-fashioned paper towels, and these microbes circulated for 15 minutes afterward. 1

Wait, I thought the CIA spied on Canadians and CSIS spied on Americans, so they could swap Intel without it getting leaked to....City News of all folks

That's pretty wild. I like those things, esp the Dyson... as long as you dont touch them. Seems like it is more of a human flaw (not washing properly) as opposed to a problem with the machines, which will make it tough on the companies to fix the problem. Thanks for sharing.

The poo particles plume into the air after a toilet is flushed. It's why one should put the seat cover down after they go #2. The problem is that public washrooms often don't have seat covers. I still feel a glimmer of hope that we happy few able to enjoy indoor plumbing, have longer life expectancies than our offal tossin' ancestors of old.
