Thoughtcriminals stand in our midst. The Party sets out to unmake those unfaithful to Big Brother and Ingsoc. The miniluv, minipax, minitrue, and miniplenty are given the Power to find and undo the untown. Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing. 

 

Party members shall use their bellyfeels to identify both crimethink and goodthink; deciding the truth with their vote. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad.

Rules specific to this game:

 

  • NO Private Messaging (other than PMs I create) -  Big Brother will be watching everything. 
  • Important: This game will contain Day and Night phases. The Day will run for 36 hours, and the Night will run for 12 hours. End of Day will occur at 8:00 PM PST; the lynch will take place and Night will begin. Night ends at 8:00 AM PST and the next Day begins. Once round 3 begins, the Day phases can be ended early if a vote majority has been reached (this is to speed up the game if it gets stale later on). 
  • Do NOT post in the thread during the Night phase. 
  • Once the game starts you should ask me game related questions via PM. 
  • Everyone will receive a role PM. 
  • 5 posts minimum per round. If I don't think you can reach this I may not include you in the game. 
  • If there's a tie lynch it will not carry over to the next round. Instead, one of the players tied for the most votes will be randomly selected to be lynched. 

 

 

The setup: 13 players: 3 Mafia (Thoughtcriminals); 10 Villagers (Party Members)

I will randomly select and column/row pair and the remaining roles will be vanilla townies. E.g. If Column 1 and Row D is selected then there will be 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Even Night Roleblocker, 1 Mafia Role Cop, 1 Town Tracker, 1 Town Jailkeeper, 1 Even Night Vigilante, and 7 Vanilla Townies.

As Mafia, you have access to the Factional Night Kill Night Action. Players targeted with this action will die at the end of the Night unless protected. Submit your Night Action each night in the Mafia PM.

If no Mafia submit an action, a player will be picked at random from the living non-Mafia players.

 

If your action is blocked you will be notified.

 

Mafia Role Cop (Thoughtcriminal)

You are a Thoughtcriminal and a Mafia Role Cop. You win when Town can no longer control the lynch. 

 

The Role Cop may each night investigate a player and learn that player's role. Submit your Night Action each night in the Mafia PM.

 

As Mafia, you have access to the Factional Night Kill Night Action. Players targeted with this action will die at the end of the Night unless protected. Submit your Night Action each night in the Mafia PM.

If no Mafia submit an action, a player will be picked at random from the living non-Mafia players.

 

If your action is blocked you will be notified.

 

Mafia Even Night Roleblocker (Thoughtcriminal)

You are a Thoughtcriminal and a Mafia Even Night Roleblocker. You win when Town can no longer control the lynch. 

 

As the Mafia Roleblocker, you can block night actions on Even Nights. Blocking another player will prevent that player from being able to successfully use their Night Action that night. You will not  learn whether your target had a Night Action. Submit your Night Action each night in your role PM. You may change your target as many times as you want. The last action submitted will be used. You cannot target the same player on consecutive nights.

 

As Mafia, you have access to the Factional Night Kill Night Action. Players targeted with this action will die at the end of the Night unless protected. Submit your Night Action each night in the Mafia PM.

If no Mafia submit an action, a player will be picked at random from the living non-Mafia players.

 

If your action is blocked you will be notified.

 

Mafia Even Night Jailkeeper (Thoughtcriminal)

If no Mafia submit an action, a player will be picked at random from the living non-Mafia players.

 

 

Mafia Jailkeeper:

 

As Mafia Jailkeeper, you have access to the Jailing Night Action on Even Nights. Jailing another player will both protect that player from being killed as well as prevent that player from being able to successfully use their Night Action that night. You will not learn whether your target was successfully protected from any kills, nor will you learn whether your target had a Night Action. Submit your Night Action each night in the Mafia PM. You may change your target as many times as you want. The last action submitted will be used. You cannot target the same player on consecutive nights.

 

If your action is blocked you will be notified.

 

Vanilla Town (Party Member)

The Jack of All Trades is a 1-shot Vigilante, 1-shot Jailkeeper, and 1-shot Tracker. You can use the abilities in any order. 

 

With the Vigilante action, players targeted with this action will die at the end of the Night unless protected.

With the Tracker action, you may track a player's movements each night and learn who, if anyone, that player used a night action on that same night.
