Hoping a few of our young guys make the roster this year.

No doubt at least 2 will. These young bloods'll look different against pre-season squads than they did against prospects though. The competition definitely ramps up a bit, especially for those who make it to the final cuts. Should be entertaining to watch unfold.

My money is on Pettersson and Gaudette, although I can see Palmu making a strong case to stay with the club. But then again that's why I look forward to the preseason. It's gonna be one intense camp/preseason.

Should be one of the more competitive camps we've had in a while with so many young guys knocking on the door. Will be interesting to see how management maneuvers the roster especially because I don't anticipate there being a huge trade market for our bubble/fringe players.

Your post got me flashbackin' to cheesy 70's Wings hits...

Prospects knockin' at the door

Slick youth startin to gel

Prospects knockin' at the door

Some vets retired as well

Hey there Greener, open the door

& let 'em in

Petrus Palmu

Olli Jo

Adam Gaudette

These kids got flow,

Skinny Eli

Our Dahlen

Open the door and

Let 'em innnnnnnn

oh yeah(cue the brass-breakout!)...

My crystal ball says Leipsic makes the team will be an integral piece of the roster and a first-liner.

Interesting call, man he showed some magic late last season. He looks like a perfect piece for the new NHL.

It is between him and Baertschi to claim one position, Sven would have some market appeal around the league in a deal if Leipsic wins a spot.

Only two games, but Dahlen looks to be a higher-ceilinged Baertschi, with more speed, mobility, net aggressiveness, and skill.

Other than him being 5'11 and roughly the same weight, i see no correlation between him and Baertschi.
