The last 3 have been marginal hits, not really that hard and the" next one" is easier and more severe.

I wonder if a player was injured in the last game and they are keeping it under wraps.

They called McEwen up around 2 hours after the last game, maybe Motte?

It is just a strange time for a planned callup, 11:30 PM PT, 2:30 AM ET.

More like an hour and a bit after the game.

When @UticaComets forward Zack MacEwen got called up to the @Canucks, he was ecstatic - but when you get the call at 2 in the morning, it's hard to share the news with anybody. → https://yhoo.it/2GCAJJl pic.twitter.com/jDEeGnLAS0

Injury or illness?

The Canucks have only announced 2 concussions - when was the 3rd one as a Canuck?

Also Baer said that the Hyka hit was full force in the head - it grazed his shoulder but the brunt of it was in the head.  When he broke his ribs at the worlds he said the hit was not hard and that's why he continued playing through it thinking he was just winded.

Until recently head trauma was called "upper body". He had a concussion last year, came back a few games and got another. And then this year, but look up his bio for strange entries.

Hey it was Sutter that was hurt after all, re MacEwen call up.

Actually MacEwen was called up in Baertschi’s spot and Gaudette was called up in Sutter’s spot. You're a day behind the team Guardian.

No it wasn't until Sutter seized up after the game at 10:30 PM.

If it was for Sven they would have called him up last week and not at 2:30 in the morning.

Gaudette called up in day time is planned, another boo boo to a forward and games back to back,

Mac was an emergency call, late night, post game call ups are.

Sutter and Sven = 2 roster spots

MacEwen Winger = Sven

+Schaller = 3 roster spots

back to back games and both Anaheim and LA have started to play very physical. No time to call up if here is an injury. So they carry exttra

Baertschi was announced on IR 2 days ago in lieu of that MacEwen a winger was called up.

Sutter announced on IR yesterday and Gaudette a C was called up today. The team knows these things well in advance.

Ergo Baertschi = MacEwen

Sutter = Gaudette

Schaller = pressbox

Your persistence is awe-inspiring, 73. I would have given up about three posts back.

The Canucks announced a concussion before the game was even over with the McLeod hit.  He never missed just a few games last year.  He missed several weeks with a broken jaw and also several weeks with a shoulder injury.

Seems to be Canuck luck in recent years where guys probably available via trade get hurt just before and through the deadline.

This... along with us acquiring guys that never had injury issues who then proceed to be plagued with them (Sutter, Guddy)

Also, we just don't get 1 injury, they occur in multiples. Finally, when we just start to get rolling with wins...……….it happens.:rolleyes:

Just like the Colorado game after the AS break....  Fully healthy for the 1st time in a long time (looked great) quickly followed by a cascade of injuries.

Would love to see what our record has been with a full healthy roster, but it'd be such a small sample size (3-0 ?)
