Sergei Shirokov
A big reason why we made made the playoffs during that 2014/2015 run. Hope someone claims him. I'd want the canucks to pick him up but they probably want to reward Bachman with a few nights of getting an NHL pay cheque.

I remember many on here were posting how huge of a mistake we were trading him. I guess the proof is in the pudding now. He was a very nice guy though. Tystick
So we traded Eddie Lack for Guillaume Brisebois and Brett McKenzie. Good trade JB.
UFCanuck
Overrated by a portion of our fan-base. Gillis signed him for free and Benning got assets for a mediocre goaltender.
Ghostsof1915
Only to be curious if Ian Clark could correct any of his problems. If Clark could make Lack into a serviceable NHL goalie, I'd declare him a goalie coach god. Nahhh...rather see Clark help Demko to be an elite netminder. bassetgreg
Wasn't Roland Melanson coaching during Lack's NHL success in Vancouver. Rollie is the best goalie coach
Tortorella's Rant
His numbers here were actually pretty decent. But he's definitely not a goalie who's going to get you to the promise land.

That was the final blow... And Lu bitched like a child because of that. That was probably Tort's best move during his tenure with the Canucks. EP Phone Home
I wish the Stork the best. He’s had a tough go ever since he left this market. If Lack can’t hack it, he can always be a eyewear model or open his own taco stand. That smile is something else

He was an NHL goaltender in Vancouver - where it mattered. .912 in his first NHL season - 41 games - is very respectable. .921 in his second - again 41 games - was excellent. Two previous AHL seasons for this team - .925 and .926 - he earned the opportunity that he excelled in here. He just happened to leave here for a goalie graveyard. But his time - here he was great - on and off the ice. Legendary personality - but also a legit NHL goaltender.
