aqua59
Thought I'd post this. Interesting Vancouver keeps climbing up the ladder, Edmonton is sinking fast and I'm enjoying that too. We all should. https://www.tsn.ca/the-7-eleven-power-rankings-nashville-road-warriors-still-no-1-1.1208483 1. Nashville Predators RECORD 13-3-0 LAST 10 8-2-0 LAST WEEK 1 Pekka Rinne leads the league with a .949 save percentage to go along with his 6-1-0 record. The Preds are on a five-game winning streak, outscoring their opponents 18-7, and have yet to lose on the road. 2. Tampa Bay Lightning RECORD 12-4-1 LAST 10 7-3-0 LAST WEEK 2 The Lightning ended their four-game winning streak (6-4 loss to Ottawa on Sunday) but still managed to score four goals for the fifth consecutive time. They lead the league in goals for per game at 3.65. 3. Minnesota Wild RECORD 11-4-2 LAST 10 8-2-0 LAST WEEK 3 The Wild finished off their franchise-record seven-game road trip in style, winning five games and outscoring their opponents 25-17. Top scorer in the seven games was Mikael Granlund (5-3-8). 4. Boston Bruins RECORD 10-5-2 LAST 10 6-3-1 LAST WEEK 10 David Pastrnak had a hat trick against Toronto and leads the league with 16 goals. Jaroslav Halak, who made 40 saves in the same game, is a surprise 6-1-2 with an NHL second-best .945 save percentage. 5. Winnipeg Jets RECORD 10-5-1 LAST 10 7-3-0 LAST WEEK 7 The Jets ended their power-play goal streak at 11 games and have a league-best 34.0 power play percentage. Blake Wheeler leads the league with 12 power-play points and has a 10-game point streak. 6. Toronto Maple Leafs RECORD 11-6-0 LAST 10 5-5-0 LAST WEEK 4 After outscoring opponents 14-2 during a three-game winning streak, the Leafs hit a speed bump (the Bruins' top line) and fell 5-1 to Boston to lose their first road game of the season. 7. Vancouver Canucks RECORD 10-6-2 LAST 10 5-3-2 LAST WEEK 9 The Canucks lost in a shootout to Buffalo but still extended their point streak to six games (4-0-2). Jake Virtanen and rookie Elias Pettersson lead the way during the streak with five goals each. 8. Montreal Canadiens RECORD 9-5-3 LAST 10 5-4-1 LAST WEEK 13 Tomas Tatar didn’t work out well in Vegas last season, but he’s worked out just fine in Montreal. He scored his seventh goal of the year, the winner in a 5-4 victory over his former team. 9. Philadelphia Flyers RECORD 9-7-1 LAST 10 6-3-1 LAST WEEK 23 The Flyers, led by Claude Giroux’s 22 points for seventh in NHL scoring, have turned around a 4-7-0 start with a six-game point streak (5-0-1) that featured Brian Elliott’s first shutout of the season. 10. San Jose Sharks RECORD 9-6-3 LAST 10 5-3-2 LAST WEEK 16 With a 3-1 win over Calgary Sunday, the Sharks ended a dubious and curious streak of nine straight games when they allowed three or four goals a game....... AlwaysACanuckFan
Canucks ranked 7th and climbing two spots since last rankings with the rash of injuries and without the likes of Boeser Baertschi Edler Sutter and Beagle. Gotta say well done boys!
ruilin96
League is changing when you see a power-ranking with the Blackhawks and Kings at the bottom. It didn't seem that long ago that they were alternating cups in a 5 year span. But time has moved on.
coastal.view
wow 4 canadian teams in a row in the top 10 i wonder how many will in fact make the playoffs this season laffs, jets, and? an alberta team? habs? alien led nucks are a bit of a long shot still ? not sure myself, i think i'll have a stronger view about this after the 25 game mark
IBatch
That’s some good props from TSN. It took until last week for Vancouver to enter the top 16 power rankings with NHL.com (13 I believe) have been waiting for a couple weeks to see them get on that list (although one writer had them 7 three weeks ago, so not all them think the winning will stop). All those guys injured and we are still holding on. Awesome. One take away is how bad OTT PK is (worst all-time), Chabot might be making them forget Karlssons offense, but not his defense (which is generally excellent, one of the best shot blockers in the league, and how good the fancy stats are with him on the ice compared to without him etc). SJ at some point is going to have a big winning streak...no?

I don’t get it we’ve won ten times in 19 and have lost to every non playoff team except Florida including losing theee of four blowing leads most nights and have a minus goal differential I don’t think we’re seventh best

Two of our top six are out and arguably our top d-man is also out. If they come back in form, we may actually be this good. Worth noting also that both TSN and THG's lists came before tonight's loss as well.

Draisaitl and Petey would be pretty nuts actually. If he were on our team he'd probably be making less money too. Not by much, I'd say he's a 7.5-8.5 mil player based on his production. Has 300+ faceoffs on the year (took 1300 last year and won 56% of them). PPG player on a team where only one other guy can produce. He's a bit underrated, probably cause of his hefty price tag and the fact most consider him a passenger on McDavid's line.

oldnews
Go Jets, Canucks and Habs. Fire your GM and coaching staff Edmonton. It's overdue. Unbelievable you're still so mediocre. Suck it Leafs. Do something about that blueline ffs.
alt kilgore
As far as Edmonton I want Canucks to either finish with the last playoff spot, or lower than Edmonton. If its another year where we miss the playoffs, but Edmonton gets a higher pick than us, again...... Gawd their management is awful.
