Good for you. I agree with you. Leivo will count his money if he keeps this up. Leivo will be the power forward on that line. 6'2 190 or 210? He has 3g, 1a, 4 pts in 6 games playing for the Canucks. He will be even better when he learns the system and breaks bread with the Alien and Flow. He score again today, scored the last game. Two shots total, two goals. He screened the goalie when the Flow scored today. The amazing stat is +7 in 6 games. He learned mainly watching the games as the 13th forward in Toronto for the last five years. He is a developed NHL player. Sure glad JB traded for him. 2

rizzuto&hatoum
He's kinda like Steve Rucchin playing on a line with Kariya and Selanne.

-AJ-
I love Leivo playing on the third line. Scored a goal and looked nice with Eriksson.

Popular Post Mathew Barzal
This guy is such a breath of fresh air on this team. An honest hardworking player with talent and vision. Give this man a contract. 2
Kanukfanatic
Leivo was great tonight. He fore checked hard directly behind the Buffalo goalie a few times and on one occasion he got the puck and set up a great goal. Loved his game tonight. Hopefully he does that more often.

Boudrias
If he plays the same game he did against Buffalo the Canucks might have a breakout player on their hands. Really solid game from Leivo.
rekker
Man, the Leafs could sure use a guy like this.
SilentSam
Time to offer this guy the Re-up, well before the TDL. He has fit in seamlessly with this team, hard worker, skilled, strong nosed, smart..

He has fit in seamlessly with this team, hard worker, skilled, strong nosed, smart.. He has good skills with the puck and can beat guys one on one consistently. The problems with his game are that he holds the puck too long himself and has a tendency to get tunnel vision. He often struggles to identify his team mates when they are open. He has potential to be quite effective if he can start finding his line mates and stops trying to do everything on his own. As it is, he looks impressive but generally ineffective. There are a lot of guys getting ready to take his place if he can't make this adjustment.
Toyotasfan
Every once in awhile he is a great player. I don’t know where he disappears to some nights, other nights I can’t believe Toronto gave him up.

Leivo is a very effective player, especially considering his cap hit. I'm surprised, as a Leaf's fan, you would not recognize that many of your compatriots wanted to keep Leivo and dump Nylander. As a true Canuck's fan, I am super happy we have Leivo. He's great for us!
AK_19
I'm genuinely shocked this guy was a throw away compared to some of the forward projects we've paid a decent amount for (Goldobin, Leipsic, Vey, etc). I think his performance puts an end to Goldobin's place on the team. He's been better at everything except playmaking.

Too bad having a friend in EP hasn't driven him to reach for it , He isn't getting any younger and should have matured to be like his younger friend if he was going to be very good offensively and defensively, being a Centre is much harder than being a winger
johngould21
Doesn't he have more than 7 goals this season? Leivo that is!
