Good to see the open support from the US for our guys detained in China:

Pompeo attacks China for detaining 2 Canadians during Ottawa stop

Canada will have the support of the United States until the two Canadians detained in China "are returned to their families," U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo promised Thursday while on a visit to Ottawa.

Pompeo, a high-profile member of the Trump administration, met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his counterpart Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland ahead of the G7 summit in France this weekend.

Pompeo brings up the salient point that shoots down China's expectation that everyone view the detentions in China and the house arrest here as similar.

I didn't expect anything out of the orange clown but this is good to see. China would love to see the US ignore us on this. Now they have to deal with it.

I'm not sure the orange turd had anything to do with it. The adults in the room made a decision while he was tweeting on the can.

You know what's sad about Canadian politicians like him.... his twitter feed is full of news about other protests globally... but nothing at all about the HK protest.

Sometimes I question the loyalties of such individuals.

It's often a matter of not biting the hand that feeds them.  Many of our politicians are China's puppets and it's truly sad.

They have two people detained there....in retaliation.  And they want to preach at us?
