It’s always been tough to watch the past captains get rag-dolled and how it has affected the team psychologically and ultimately, it’s legacy. The C is a big deal. Especially here, this time, IMO. Totally agree. IMHO Linden is the greatest Canuck captain. No player laid it on the line more times than he did. I count captains who took their teams to CUPs as the ultimate measure, fair or not. Smyl, Sedin and Linden are the ones that count. Linden the best. Naslund not really in the running. Horvat would be a great choice as the next captain.
