It is...   a Martin, Mars built during WW2 to fly urgent supplies from the mainland to Hawaii.

I believe one is still operated by Coulson Forest Products.

The picture does not show just how damn big the plane is.

These planes are pretty famous...

Somewhere I heard they're operating around the west coast of Canada. This machine is massive

Not saying we shouldn't be curing cancer.  Of course we should.  But we also need a plan to ensure we are able to provide a good quality of life for our seniors.  We need to make sure this is accessible to everyone.

I don't want something wonderful to be ruined by unintended consequences.

Automation and robotics will take care of the seniors. We will soon be living that "Wall-E" lifestyle. Japan is already ahead of the curve in figuring all of this out.

too many people make too much money from people having cancer these people will stand in the way of a cure being found. will they stop it? who knows but they will try. greed tends to bring a very ugly side out of people.

Lots of wealthy people die from cancer too.

Imagine the amount of money companies would earn if they actually have the cure for it.  You think Steve Jobs wouldn't mind paying a few billion to stay alive?  Kim Jong-Il would probably paid half the GDP of North Korea for the cure as well.

true but like it or not there's a different set of rules in life for the vastly wealthy. as far as the masses without huge fortunes go it's far more profitable for them to be sick so drug companies can rape them for everything they have while they die slowly with the hope that they might get better. If there was a cure the drug companies can sell it to the likes of Jobs for big $$$$ and they still win anyways. Lots of powerful people make a lot of money from people being sick and they have no problem exploiting that. Look at that AIDS drug guy from a coupe years ago.
