FijianCanuck
Ya this one's odd. If it was horvat related I'm sure gaudette would get the call. Maybe another trade in the works?

Maybe another trade in the works? That's what I was thinking - Gaudette could slide right back into his previous role if Horvat was injured and Sutter could take over Bo's duties in the mean time. I just don't get the timing of this call up. Edit: Twitter is saying it is precautionary call up in case Horvat cannot go after some heavy hits in the game last night. Baer.
Everybody saying why not call up Gaudette? Other guys deserve a shot too. Kero has NHL games under his belt and has easily been one of Utica's top 3 forwards so far this year.
'NucK™
It's not that confusing a call up.. the reason it's Kero and not Gaudette pretty much tells the whole story - he'll spend 1-2 games in the press box and then head back to Utica.
Hairy Kneel
I'd like to see him play.
NexusRift
The Comets and the Marlies played a week ago yesterday and the game was on TV. Tanner Kero was a name mentioned several times during play by play. To me, he was the most noticeable Comet that game. Marlies doubled the Comet 6-3, but it was still entertaining hockey. JeremyCuddles
Wouldn't mind seeing him lace em up. See what we got here. Doubt it's anything substantial but I am curious as to how he plays. Not like we are a legitimate playoff team right now anyway.

Report: Tanner Kero has been recalled by the Canucks, and sent straight to the dog house.

CRAZY_4_NAZZY
It was the final few seconds of the period when Kass hit Bo. Looked to give him a charlie horse.

krutovsdonut
looks like they don't expect this to be a long call up and they don't want to yoyo gaudette again with a short call up. this gives kero a paycheck reward for his ahl work and green gets a chance to watch him practice. RetroCanuck
Most likely just to cover for if Pettersson or Bo are out again next game. No point using Gaudette as a yoyo and leaving him down there allows him to play more consistently. Unless we are finally dealing Sutter! That'd be nice
PuckFather
He's been tearing it in the AHL and has been one of best players for The Comets. I think it's just to reward him for the effort with a big pay cheque. Now it remains to be seen if we have an injury or a trade coming?
EternalCanuckFan
If I'm not mistaken and if Horvat is healthy for Friday, all the Canucks need to do to meet the 23-man limit is to designate Kero for waivers and assignment to the Comets the next day. This is a good precautionary measure if Horvat is banged up, gives the Canucks options since Utica to Vancouver is a long way to go, and perhaps shows Kero that his good play is valued and appreciated. Hoping that Horvat is not hurt.

TheGuardian_
I think what is happening is there are too many prospects for positions and the AHL rules mandate a number of vets on each team. This may be to see what they have and then move him for a late pick. He is long past being a prospect. Horvat, I also thought Edler got dinged. Archie the grim
This sounds like a situation where it would be benificial if the farm team was local. Instead of of across the continent and in a different country
