Hey, that Pilut turnover was truly horrendous and without that it could've been a win both in Corsi and for real. Watching the last three minutes, the way Dahlin and Eichel control the puck was impressive. Lots to look forward to for both teams.

Pilut has actually been awesome this season.  He started the year in the AHL and was so good there that the Sabres pulled him up.  Him, Dahlin, and Guhle will be great for the Sabres defence for years to come.

Character win but I don't like their Chip and Chase approach. It's responsible but way less entertaining. It's as though a one goal lead turns the Nucks into old Jersey.

Crazy how Buffalo can tic tac toe the puck. they have heaps of skill and will be a force soon like the Nucks but with less work boots.

But please don't switch to buyers...keep stocking the cupboards for continued strength. Next year would be OK if the team gels and fends off injuries.

This team is all hustle.

May not have the most skill out of any team, but they work their butts off for the win.

If not for their blocking pucks left and right, the SOG would have been even more lopsided than it was.  That's encouraging to see.  If they squeak into the playoffs, that kind of fortitude will make them competitive.

Had a feeling the Horvat line was going to wake up... they are clicking now.  Baertschi, the unacknowledged top sixer, continues to score.

Josh Leivo undoubtedly had his best game of the season, even if he didn't score... all over the ice.

Motte/Beagle/Eriksson line was great in their role in containing Jack Eichel and crew and Eriksson continues his hot streak.  (continue to be impressed by hometown boy Sam Reinhart though... if the Canucks can find a way to pry him loose from the Sabres, they should ;) )

And finally, Thatcher Demko had an excellent game... a few miscues, but overall a nice 2nd debut... this time as the regular backup.  I believe he will challenge Markstrom next year... and in the meantime be a more reliable backup than Nilsson.
