Some teams slipping.

Washington, Pittsburgh... Ducks and Coilers still are.

Been an interesting stretch to watch AO become the top Russian player in the NHL and for Big Joe to pass guys like Dionne in the all time assists stat. Patty Marleau is climbing a few categories with each game for games played and points.

I’m getting old.

Its exciting to scoreboard watch again  or tune into other games that are relevant to the Canucks standings.

Go Nashville! Blues are up 4-3 right now

Only a matter of time, wasn't it? I'm surprised they took this long to make this change. Carlyle has about a two year shelf life with each team he coaches.

Hat trick for Tarasenko.

The Blues are playing really well.  They look legit.  On 1 January they only had 34pts - lowest in the league.  They now have 59pts for a wildcard spot.

the stl blows keep finding ways to win against top teams... o well, Minny is crapping the bed and Koivu is out for the rest of the season.

Fenton is on the fence with his team.  The other day he said it's one thing to stay in the game and another to bring the game to the opposition.

St Louis are bringing the game to the opposition - they are playing like a top team.  Minnesota is staying in the game (less and less these days).

Capitals hire Joel Quennville

2 weeks

Didn’t Pittsburgh hire their current guy a couple months before the playoffs, and he got them back to back Cups?  Might be good timing for the Caps right now.

They were really underacheiving, I think selling last deadline messed with their confidence a lot. Seems it's back now.

Nashville with again another loss.

Their 1st line is really good.  Forsberg is something else - he's playing like a powerforward who has the skills of a finesse player.

They need to fix their 2nd line.  Poile last week:  “We have to have a second line that’s got to produce on a more consistent basis than they did in the second half of last season and in the playoffs,” he said at a press conference last Wednesday.
