Would suck to see hadn't realized he'd lost that skill - seems like he was a ppg player in the AHL last year and has played only a handful of games in Toronto - and not much more in Winnipeg = not easy forward groups to move up into the top 6 of.... That said, I recall Babcock's comments after they came to Vancouver and were embarrassed by this replacement / M.A.S.H. roster. Babcock noted that his 4th line couldn't be used/trusted - were getting owned - and he needed to sit them in the 3rd period.... Took the blame for dressing a roster that he couldn't win with. Looking presently at the Leafs lineup.... A 4th line with Petan centering it. Getting 60% ozone starts. Playing 8-9 minutes a night... Losing a lot of draws... Is Kadri - at 52.6% ozone starts - supposed to be their 'matchup' center? Or will that fall to a Petan line? It will be interesting to see what the Leafs manage with that kind of lineup.... And would be interesting to know what Babcock thinks of the way that roster is being built. My thoughts are that they could sure use a Jay Beagle - and probably a Josh Leivo as well haha.
