The Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy is awarded annually by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to ice hockey.

A player from each team is nominated by the local chapter. Those nominations are being revealed Thursday. The list will be narrowed to three finalists and a winner will be named at the NHL Awards in Las Vegas in June.

Below is a list of the nominees, which will be updated as each nomination is announced:

I'm a little teary over this.

He's given his all and done everything it's taken to continue to grow.  So well deserved...so proud of our Marky.  Whether he wins it or not, he's a worth candidate and a leader on this team.

Happy for him.

He deserves a lot of credit for what he's doing this year.

Markstrom living up to and perhaps even exceeding Vancouver's (mostly late) tradition of very high character goaltenders.

Eddie Lack, Schneids. Luo, Miller, Bobby Essensa!, McLean....Cheech::D

Marky!

(Demko!)

Was watching the Stars game last night and wondering if it's possible Benning has set up a Tampa-like progression.  Here's hoping these guys can become something like the Bolts' Bishop/Vasilievskiy.....

I can see jumbo winning this but he's gonna keep playing so they might not vote him to win.

My votes on Lehner.

After Lehner opened up this offseason and having the year he's having this season. He's pretty much a lock IMO.
