Well Alf, if there were a Chara on the UFA market, it might be interesting.

Our Chara, if we ever have one, will have to be Tryamkin.

 

Karlson on the other hand is a different kind of 'fit' altogether - one that doesn't make the kind of sense adding a true, two way, all minutes, hard to play against #1D would make (imo that aint what Karlson is).

 

I mean if you were looking to change course - sign Karslon - trade Hughes - looking to piece together a roster with a shorter term window that you're looking to force open now, then maybe you make that move - or if you're looking to build more of a new age blueline....then perhaps - but that wouldn't be the course I'd take.

Really like your thinking about staying clear of EK, and getting Tryamkin back to be our steady guy on D for the next decade.
